ArtLeadHer Karmimadeebora McMillan was born and raised in North Carolina and now works from her studio in Brooklyn, New York where she creates elaborate abstract paintings depicting whimsical scenes using colorful figures.
Karmimadeebora’s paintings visit old childhood notions of race and the idea of darkness through characters. Her artwork of choice for our ArtLeadHER exhibit are her spirit sticks.
